To qualify for radio or internet access, you must meet one of the following criteria:
- Be certified as legally blind
- Have only partial vision, requiring the use of visual aids other than ordinary eyeglasses in order to read conventional print comfortably
- Have a physical disability that prevents normal reading because of an inability to hold printed material
- Have any type of reading disability
If you meet any one of the above criteria, you are eligible for the service.
Sub-Carrier Radio Receiver
A special radio that can receive Gatewave will be provided on a loan basis for as long as you need it.
In order to help cover the costs of the service we ask for voluntary annual contributions if you are able. Please see our donations page. If you cannot contribute it will not affect your eligibility for the Gatewave service.
